- Spot Bitcoin ETFs logged $1.84 billion in net new inflows over five consecutive trading sessions.
- BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for 62% of aggregate net flows, pushing total AUM beyond $32 billion.
- On-chain exchange reserves dropped to a 6-year low of 2.15M BTC as OTC desks absorb supply.
Institutional Capital Reallocates to Spot BTC Vehicles
Capital commitments into regulated spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds accelerated sharply this week, surpassing $1.84 billion in cumulative net inflows. The sudden uptick in institutional demand follows updated 13F filings revealing expanded allocations by top-tier wealth managers, state pension funds, and multi-family offices.
According to data aggregated by Munsam Market Intelligence, daily net volume reached $480 million on Thursday alone, marking the third-highest single-day influx since spot ETF approval in January 2024.
OTC Supply Squeeze & Exchange Depletion
As ETF issuers absorb liquid supply, institutional Over-the-Counter (OTC) desks are experiencing prolonged inventory shortages. On-chain analytics indicate that liquid exchange balances dropped by 38,000 BTC over the past 14 days, reducing total exchange-held supply to 2.15 million BTC — the lowest level recorded since late 2018.
Marcus Vance, Senior Market Strategist at Munsam, noted: “We are witnessing a structural supply-demand imbalance. While retail participation remains measured, institutional treasuries are treating sub-$70k levels as long-term accumulation zones.”
Technical Structure Points to Multi-Month Breakout
From a chart perspective, Bitcoin has established robust support at the 50-day exponential moving average ($64,200). A confirmed weekly close above $68,500 would open technical pathways toward testing all-time high resistance at $73,750.
